Announcements

6th Grade for the week: 13 -- 17 November 2017:  
  • Math Standards Focus: 6.EE.3 and 6.EE.4.  Students will study and become proficient using the distributive property of multiplication (over addition and subtraction).  Additionally, they will be able to identify equivalent algebraic expressions.
  • Work Effort: Simplify Expressions WorkSheet, Ac Math (22 total objectives), and quiz.  

6th Grade for the week: 10 -- 13 October:  
  • Progress Reports go home 10 October 2017.
  • Academic Focus: Review Standards 6.NS.1, 2, 3, and 4.
  • Test 3: A 9-week summative assessment. 
  • AC Math is assigned daily.  Please encourage your student to work on mastering assigned objectives.  

6th Grade for the week: 25 -- 29 September:  
  • Academic Focus: NCSCOS Math Standard: 6.NS.4: Students will be working with greatest common factors, least common multiples, and the distributive property of multiplication (over addition and subtraction).   
  • Homework Assignments:  12/180.  The assignment is expected to be completed and submitted no later than Friday, 29 September 2017.   Students should also be working assigned Accelerated Mathematics objectives.  
  • Additionally, your student may want to consider completing Test 2 corrections to recoup the points s/he lost on the test.  I encourage you to help them if you can.  Please, keep in mind that calculators should not be used to aid your student at this point in the semester.  To recoup credit, students' work must be complete and accurate.   

7th Grade for the week: 13 -- 17 November 2017:  
  • Math Standards Focus: 7.EE.4.a and 4.b: Students will review 6th grade work on solving one-step algebraic equations and inequalities.
  • Work Effort: 18/180 WorkSheets, Ac Math (22 total objectives), and quiz.  

7th Grade for the week: 10 -- 13 October:

  • Academic Focus: Standard 7.NS.2.d: Fraction-to-Decimal and Decimal-to-Fraction conversions.
  • Test 2: Focus on 7.NS.1, 2, and 3.

7th Grade for the week: 25 -- 29 September:   
  • Academic Focus: NCSCOS Math Standard: 7.NS.2.a.b.c. and 7.NS.3: Students will be working multiplication and division of rational numbers, to include solving real-world problems involving four operations with rational numbers.
  • Homework Assignments:  13/180.  The assignment is expected to be completed and submitted no later than Friday, 29 September 2017.   Students should also be working assigned Accelerated Mathematics objectives.
